Success! Within 30 days, the Caixin is ready for harvest, from seed to harvest!
The NUS Agritech Centre uses a substrate mix of biochar, cocopeat, compost, garden soil and liquid fertilizer.
The seedlings planted on 11 Dec 2024 after 2 weeks of germination.
Planted in Aqua-Terra Ecoponics – a self-sustaining, pest protected, no-electricity “Green House”.
On 26 Dec 2024, we see great results! Beautifully grown Caixin within 30 days!

Proof that in Singapore, we can grow our own food with minimal resources i.e., powered by nature, minimum labor, yet getting beautifully grown leafy vegetables in 30 days. This is possible with:
